A few years ago my daughter and I went on an exploring trip to neighboring Madison county, mostly to see the numerous windmills that dot the area.
This view of a half hidden barn captured my attention, but it wasn't until very recently that I finally had the chance to paint it. I pushed the colors to give the idea of a warm afternoon.

I think you pushed this just the right way; it looks warm but totally natural. Nice one!
(BTW, my husband was up in Old Forge this weekend and he stopped in to see the show ... only one red dot in the whole show. The lady at the desk said she couldn't believe that sales are so off.)
Thank you Donna! I've been experimenting with oranges and yellows to represent high temperatures. It's kind of fun but if you are not careful you end up with a fall scene! Too bad about the no sales at Old Forge... Was the one yours? At a recent local show an artist whose work I admire did not sell anything either, however this must have been due to the theme he chose for this exhibit (city scenes) because the other artist in the same show sold several pieces (landscapes).
No, no sales for me. I didn't realize that the admission fee to see the show is $8. No wonder nothing is selling! That's a ridiculous amount to ask just to see an art show. It's good to hear that landscapes are doing well in your area. I think I'll stick with them too (mostly because city scenes are way beyond my skill level!)
This is such a beautiful painting, Adriana. I love the light on the road leading to the barn...wonderful colors...amazing, as always.
