Mandana Farmland, 13x13"

Mandana Farmland, pastel on paper by Adriana Meiss

On my way home after the Finger Lakes Lavender Fest, I slowed my car down and took photos of this field. I have actually seen it many times before and have taken shots of it, but somehow after this time I really felt the need to paint it right away.  I decided to be more creative with colors though and I'm happy with the results. I hope you like it too!

That is a beautiful field! I hope you are enjoying all the Queen Anne's lace that are decorating the fields now. I still hope to get out and paint before the season ends!

Thank you Sunnybrook Farm!

Donna I have second painting based on this field and am thinking of a third one, with different colors of course. I love finding a scene where I could change the colors to express different moods. BTW, the Syracuse Area Plein Air Painters has a blog now (I cannot link it here though) and we keep on painting every week! We have to be careful about ticks though... I do hope to see more paintings of the beautiful area you live in!
