Aflame, 5" x 7" - Sold

This little tree was painted, photographed, and framed last Saturday. I sold 4 paintings that day at the Plowshares craftsfair and thought of replacing them with new ones I had not had the chance to frame for the show. But the muse struck me and this tree practically painted itself.
Sunday was slow going, probably due to the snow, and although this piece did not sell, I received very nice comments about it.

Beautiful! Don't you adore the ones that "paint themselves?" I love your landscapes....re-inspires me to get back to the pastel easel. Will you be doing snow??

Congrats on the sales! It's no surprise the fog painting from your last post found a new home: I hope to see a larger version (that you can sell for bigger $) Keep up the great work, Adriana!

Cindy, Don't ask me about snow. We are buried in snow; 34 inches so far and more to come! Seriously, I'm looking forward to do some winter paintings and if possible even a plein air this season. By all means try your pastels again! Just a thought: with the nature- inspired work you do, you might get surprising results mixing watercolors/acrylics and pastels...

Donna, Thank you. The lady who bought that painting has bought other foggy scenes from me before!
