The Moose River in Winter, 5x7"

The migrating flocks of geese are telling us that winter is almost over.  While the thought of warmer weather is more than welcome, I feel a little bit upset for having wasted the opportunity to paint winter scenes during the season. The sole exception  was the one above. Maybe I'll be painting more winter scenes this spring...

Very nice cool colors, my eye goes to the highlights in the close tree and then to the ones in the distance, then back to the cool color.

I agree - Beautiful! You made the most of winter colors and it feels chilly! There are so many geese flying over me every day now. The white "icebergs" we saw on the lake turned out to be snow geese.

Thank you ALL! I hope to paint at least one more winter scene before winter is officially over.

Donna, lucky you! You must have a wonderful view of the lake!
